Important Information from School
Parents Responsibility
Parents must immediately notify the school administration in writing of any change to their address, primary phone numbers, or emergency contact details. This is a critical safety requirement ensuring the school can reach parents instantly in case of a student emergency, illness, or urgent school closure. Failure to provide up-to-date contact information compromises student safety and may result in missed critical communications regarding academic or disciplinary matters. Verbal notification is not accepted.
Students Responsibility
Students are strictly forbidden from disfiguring or damaging school property, including walls, furniture, equipment, and learning resources. Vandalism disrupts the learning environment and places an unnecessary financial burden on the school community. Any damage, whether intentional or due to gross negligence, will result in mandatory fines levied against the responsible student(s) to cover the full cost of repair or replacement. Further disciplinary action, such as suspension, may accompany the fine for intentional acts.
Medical History
Parents are required to submit their ward’s comprehensive medical history and immediately notify the class teacher and administration of any new or existing allergies or chronic ailments (e.g., asthma, severe food allergies). This is essential for student safety. Full disclosure allows staff to implement necessary preventative measures and execute life-saving emergency protocols promptly. All information is kept confidential. Failure to disclose critical medical information places the student at serious risk.
Attendance
A minimum of 85% attendance per term is mandatory for all students. Regular attendance is crucial for academic success, curriculum continuity, and eligibility for final examinations/promotion. Absences create learning gaps that are difficult to overcome. The school will intervene when attendance drops below 90%. Students who fall below the 85% threshold without valid, documented extenuating circumstances risk being disallowed from sitting for examinations or detained in their current grade level.
Absent
Students absent from school on medical grounds for four or more days must submit a formal Medical Certificate (doctor’s note) along with a parental leave letter on the first day of their return. The certificate must be from a registered practitioner and state the dates of absence. This documentation is required to validate the absence as excused and to confirm the student is fit to return, safeguarding the health of the school community. Failure to submit the certificate will result in the absence being classified as unauthorized leave (truancy).
